Temco Air’s  “less waste, more impact” tradition continues this holiday season. In lieu of sending holiday cards to 1500+ of our friends, clients, and family, we “adopt a family” and apply our holiday card budget to fulfilling the wishes of our adopted family. We remind friends, clients, and family that we are thankful for them, and that they won’t be receiving holiday cards from Temco because we have “adopted a family” on their behalf.

We receive our adopted family’s wish list from Our Family Services and we go to work trying to fill the wishes and more. We give Temco clients, friends, and families the opportunity to help and have been so touched by the response every year.

This year we have a mom and dad with 3 boys. We already have clothing pretty well covered, except for needing a few baby boy items for size 3/6/9 months. The items on the parents’ wish list that have not already been handled are a set of dishes, silverware, and bath towels. We still need some toys/books for a 2 year old and a 3 year old. This tradition means we are less wasteful (no cards are purchased, no paper wasted, no money wasted on postage), and it is more meaningful for us all to be able to provide for a family that otherwise would not have much of a holiday celebration.
